HOTEL’S CHARACTERISTICS
Our 12 cabañas have running water, ecological sound drainage with no hot water installation or air conditioning. Just the breeze of the sea, ceiling fans screened windows.
We don't believe in chlorinated pools or any facility that damages the land.
FLORA & FAUNA
We're hands-on protecting, maintaining and enhancing the land and its fauna and flora. In turtle season we protect this animals and their eggs.
This is nature zone is home to a vast number of bird species. Groups of bird watchers come from all over to enjoy this activity.
The place is rich in different types of trees and plants. Because of its nature a mixture of jungle and forest, you can encounter coco palm trees, ocotillo, guanacathle, and many other specimens.

COMMUNITY
We support the local community's activities, by using toiletries from the Mazunte Women’s Collective: organic soaps, shower gels and shampoos.
There are five families working in the hotel, who come from Arroyo Cruz and other local communities: Don Ranulfo, and his son Margarito, Lupita, Margarito’s wife and Ulises, their son; Columba and his brother Carlos; Leonor, Carlo’s mother in law, and Adela, Leonor’s daughter; Bartolo, Margarito’s brother in law; Rosita and her husband Maco. They all are with us from the start of Hotel Bahía de la Luna; they're also involved with our conservation efforts, and protection of the turtles.
